This is a 1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 AWD 5 speed owned by Jesse Gaudlap. Jesse lives in the sunshine state of Florida in Jacksonville. Jesse has been in the high performance scene for most his life working on muscle cars with his family. After getting older Jesse still liked the muscle car scene but soon fell in love with imports. He has developed a DSM habit owning some eclipses,lasers, and talons. After owning mostly non-turbo front wheel drive cars he decided he needed more for his DSM performance fixation. After learning about these hard to find AWD turbo Galants he had to get one and this is how the saga unfolds.

  The McLaren F1 is one of the baddest sports cars ever made. Its was produced from 1992-1998 with only 106 road driven versions. In 1998 it set the world record for the fastest production car with a top speed of  240 mph. Even today only three super cars have beaten the F1’s record the Bugatti Veryron,Koenigsegg CCR, and the SSC Ultimate Aero TT. Look at it this way all three of those cars use force air induction and the F1 is all motor. The F1 currently holds the title of the worlds fastest naturally aspirated production car. What I think is really cool about these is the drivers seat is in the center and has passenger seats on each side. In 1998 you would have spent a mind blowing $970,000 +/- for one of these hot rods. On October 29 2008 a F1 sold for a mega $4,100,000 US dollars at a RM Automobiles Auction in London. If you have never seen a McLaren F1 in real life the chances are you may never will.

  We are very excited to have our first cover in our new segment “gearhead garages”.  Brian Eichelberger is the owner of this neat garage and lives in Agoura Hills,California. This garage reminds me of route 66 with all its old school pictures and automotive collectibles. The black and white  checker floor is industrial tile. Brian is retired law enforcement and this is a hangout were he and his friends BBQ and  watch sports. Brian is a huge NHRA and Nascar fan and goes to a lot of cruise ins and car shows.

Steph is a rising star here at gearheadhaven.com just recently she was featured as our 4th gearhead hottie. She is very handy with a wrench and knows her stuff for real. And when it comes to F-bodies and a LS1 plat form she is a super fan as this is her WS6 Trans-Am above!

  Will Grant is the owner of this stellar 1998 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo. Will resides in the great state of Florida in a town called Kissimmee. I have to give Will a lot of credit this car is nice and clean. He just used a old school combo that works a nice paint job and a good set of wheels. With the beautiful factory lines of this last generation Supra I feel extra body parts could take away from this car and Will hit a home run with it.  The banner on the windshield is the car club Will is apart of called “BAD INFLUENCE AUTO SQUAD” that also originated in New Jersey.

  Galih Laksono lives in Jakarta, Indonesia and is a long time owner of this mean looking 1972 Holden HQ. Galih is known around his country as the (legend with the golden Holden).  He is so die hard with Holdens Galih also founded the Holden  Indonesia Club in 1999-present. I must say its really good to see others in the world so into the automotive game as we are here in the USA. To be honest when I think Indonesia the last thing I would have imagined is a hot rod scene, its good to be wrong sometimes.

  Kurt Culler of Kustom Made Creations in Chester,WV is the owner/builder of this neat looking custom bike. The motorcycle is a 1976 Honda CB750 and has been nicked named (Operation Birth Kontrol). This is the first bike Kurt has ever owned and built himself. I must say this bike looks good and is very unique. I also never knew that you could make a 70’s Honda bike look so mean Kurt has done a really good job.

  Now introducing the 4th Gearhead Hottie Stephanie McDonough. Stephanie is 23 and lives in the great city of St. Louis,MO. She is a “extreme gearhed” with some serious automotive education. Stephanie has a Automotive Degree from tech school, associates in Fine Arts, and is currently finishing up her degree in High Performance Racing doing engine machining and tuning. When she is not in school she also works for Toyota full time. Stephine told us “I always have my nails painting hot pink, not afraid to get dirty in a pair of jeans but I’ll still rock the tight jeans and 5″ heels on the weekend.” Some of her other hobbies consist of working on her WS.6, rebuilding pit bikes, painting (artistic/automotive), riding dirt bikes (at the track, free riding and trails), shooting, camping, getting tattooed, hockey,  puppies and she loves machining.
