This is our first of many to come affiliate videos. Were going to showcase a video from people who have anything to do with our website each week such as our partner networking sites and our loyal forum members. Here is our first affiliate video below with information on the car from FTPerformance.
We just did one of our Custom FTPerformance cams in a LS2 GTO and as it stands right now we are only 9.x rwhp from the Cam only record. We still have a different exhaust, ported TB, and different intake to put on the car. We made 470.7RWHP and 436.8rwtq. The record is 480.2rwhp. Here is a quick video of the car at idle and on the dyno.
Mods: FTPerformance cam, patriot dual gold valve springs, comp pushrods, Pacesetter headers,Fast 90 intake, Spintec cat back, Vararam Intake, Spec 3 clutch and flywheel, b&m shifter, and Underdrive pulley.
We have had a lot of first features here at GHH this month, and were proud to feature our first car club. MECCA was founded by Scott and Jackie Pennington in 2005. This organization is for all Mopar owners from classic to late model. MECCA appreciates all Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, Jeep, AMC,and if it carries a Chrysler Corp. badge. As of right now MECCA has over 3000 members world wide and is currently the largest all Mopar club in existence. Plus I think their logo above is really cool and if I had a Mopar I would join and sport it somewhere on my ride.
In 1993 the Lightning was made as Fords answer to GM’s SS454 and GMC Cyclone. These trucks today are some what rare but you can find one if you really want one. The first generation Lightning came in three different colors such as white, red, and black. The only transmission option was a 4 speed automatic. Most of these trucks also came with a 4.10.1 gear ratio. My favorite is under the hood with a great performance platform the 351w motor with factory Gt40 heads and performance intake. Stock these trucks had 240hp+/- and 340+/- Ft_lbs of torque which was kinda stout in the mid 90s. Total production of these trucks from 1993-1995 is around 11,563+/- units. Not only is the engine better than other F150s these years but also had better handling suspension.
*The Mighty 4G63*
This engine has a huge following among Mitsubishi and DSM fans. Its a 2.0L and came in SOHC and DOHC forms. You would have found this engine in the most early and some later model Eclipses,Lasers,Talons,Galants,Lancers, Evos, and some other Mitsubishi and Chrysler vehicles. What is great about these motors you can make some serious horsepower out of these. I have always heard even from loyal DSM fans that the 4G63 can be undependable and a money pit when modified. There is something I don’t understand a 4G63 does something called a (walking crank) maybe a reader can comment and help us explain what that is, I know it does not sound good.
Below are some friends of ours Darren Thomas and Giovannia’s fast 4G63 Eclipse making a 1/4 mile pass.
