This 10 step program is more or less set up for daily drivers. If you have a show car/bike I’m sure you know all the tricks. But if you have a vehicle that you drive allot and want it to look good for years, this list is for you.
1. Always hand wash your rig. If you don’t have allot of time stop by a fund raiser car wash. Sometimes the scenery can be alright.
2. Never use dish, laundry, or hand soap on your ride. Only use soap made for cars. House hold soap can dissolve wax and clear coat while shortening the life of the paint. Plus vehicle soap is cheap and sold in just about in any store.
3. Stay away from heavy machine washes. This is actually one of the worst things you can do to your ride. Not only can it start chipping your paint, but it can put small dents in the vehicle. Most machine washes don’t even do a good job for the money.
