The Plymouth Road Runner/Superbird has logos that really stand out of the crowd. Some may even say these are the coolest ever made. The Road Runner was made form 1968-1980. The Road Runner was also made as a back to basics affordable muscle car. The winged Superbird was a road version of their NASCAR racer. Plymouth really incorporated the Road Runner theme into these cars. Even the Road Runner’s horn went ”Beep Beep” just like the cartoon. Plymouth paid Warner Brothers $50,000 to use the images of this fast bird. You knew it was only a matter of time before the Road Runner logo made a great emblems feature here.

Mack trucks have been around since 1900. These trucks are some of the toughest in the world. With a reputation like this you got to have tough emblems and ornaments. I feel the Mack bull dog hood ornament is one of the most recognized in the world. There have been a few minor changes with the Bull Dog ornament over the last century. But what has stayed consistent is the awesome factor of the Mack truck bull dog emblem.

These have to be some of the best emblems put on American made cars of the 1950′s. The Oldsmobile Rocket 88 car had the cool rocket ornament on the hood and truck. The Rocket  88 in the early 1950′s came with some hot V8′s for the time. These new engines were named Rockets of course. If you have one of the hottest makes out there, why not have some hot badges like these. If you can spot a Oldsmobile from this era make sure to check out the emblems up close. These badges and ornaments have so much detail and are just plain awesome!

Rolls Royce  automobiles are some of the most luxurious in the world. Rolls Royce started making cars in the early 1900′s. With this tradition you know these cars must have some fancy badges. The double R is the image you will see on most areas of the car. The main trademark of these high class vehicles is the lady on the hood. The ornament is a true work of art. The name of this mascot is “ the spirit of ecstasy”. On some later model Rolls Royce cars the lady is concealed inside the grill. And when the car is cranked she rises out of the front like a diva from a stage!

The Buick Grand National was one of the fastest production cars of the entire 1980′s. The Grand National has really cool and low key badges. These cars were turbo inter cooled which was a big deal for that time. The most famous badge for these rides is the turbo image with the checker flag. On the hood had a bump which had 3.8 SFI Turbo emblems. Some rare and even faster Grand Nationals carried the infamous “GNX” badge.  You know we had to feature these emblems sooner or later.
