This hood is one of the greatest from the first muscle car era. You can find this dual scoop beauty on W-30 442′s and the W-31 Cutlass. All these hoods were ram air functional. Many muscle car fans argue that this hood makes the 442′s entire legacy. All these hoods had dual locking pins from the factory. This hood and car is the main reason why I became a car guy. At the age of 8 years old I saw my fathers 1970 442 convertible, and it has been on ever since!

  Okay I am aware we have recently posted some random Dodge Viper related stuff. Well it was time for a “featured performance hood”. And I felt we should post the first generation Viper hood because this was the beginning of many hot hoods from Mopar. So down the road we will post generation stepping stones of this cool sports car hood here and there. In my opinion, over the years the Dodge Viper has carried some of the baddest hoods I have ever seen.
