We as gearheads love movies dedicated to our hobby but were getting our intelligence insulted. I’m writing this article to call out the writers, producers, and directors of these movies. I have just noticed to many flicks are way off on how nitrous oxide is used in a car. It is used in a hand full of classic movies as a magical button that is pushed to reach unthinkable physics in performance.

Aaron Neucom is the owner of this mean looking racer. Aaron is 25 years old and lives in Queensland, Australia. Were also very excited to feature another Aussie car here at gearheadhaven.com because the auto scene is so rich there. Aaron has been racing since 2008 and started off with a 1927 roadster that ran 9.1 seconds at 145mph in the 1/4 mile. Then he sold the roadster chassis and got his hands on this altered chassis.

This car started a great legacy in the sports car community. In 1970 the 240z hit show rooms in North America as the affordable sports car. As you should know this car evolved to the 260z,280z,300zx,350z, and the 370z. What is so cool about the 240z you can make them look unbelievable and perform on almost any level as shown above. Matter of fact its not uncommon to see these older Z cars with Chevy small block V8’s, and these cars have plenty of hood space to do it. In 1970 the 240z was kinda before its time for a mass produced sports car with features like front disc brakes and independent front and rear suspension to say the least.

  J. K. Cooley from Cooley Enterprises is the owner of this classic 65′ Corvette. Mr.Cooley picked this ride up in the mid 1990’s as a numbers matching car. In original form this was a 300hp 327ci engine but that is not the case these days. Under the hood now is a fire breathing sprint car engine. This car is driven on the streets here and there but is mostly used for show. This 65′ vette has won over 40 tropheys from local shows to national events. Some showcase wins are from  the National Muscle Car Association, Super Chevy Show, and last but not least the Orange County Choppers 2009 Car Show.

Rad CBR

Anthony Ballard is the owner of this 2002 Honda CBR 954 RR and lives in Claremont, NC. Not only does he have this sport bike he also owns a supercharged foxbody mustang. This bike looks very clean for being 8 years old and street driven. What gives it this cool stance the bike has been stretched 13″ and lowered in the front. The frame and the swing arm are polished for that extra shine going done the road. Along with the sharp chrome wheels a Two Brothers racing exhaust tops off this bad bike.

MECCA

We have had a lot of first features here at GHH this month, and were proud to feature our first car club. MECCA was founded by Scott and Jackie Pennington in 2005. This organization is for all Mopar owners from classic to late model. MECCA appreciates all  Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, Jeep, AMC,and if it carries a Chrysler Corp. badge. As of right now MECCA has over 3000 members world wide and is currently the  largest all Mopar club in existence. Plus I think their logo above is really cool and if I had a Mopar I would join and sport it somewhere on my ride.
